In the first week of the event, both the Horde and the Alliance will have several leaders abducted by the Jailer's forces - Anduin Wrynn and Jaina Proudmoore from the Aliance, and Thrall and Baine Bloodhoof from the Horde. A similar event has happened two times before in the history of the game, once during Vanilla Patch 1.11 as a heralding for the Naxxramas raid, and the other time was during the Wrath of the Lich King pre-patch event. Scourge invasion events are happening in the capital cities of Stormwind City and Orgrimmar. Players on the quest The Banshee's Champion will see a special cinematic of Nathanos and Tyrande facing off once more: The remaining faction leaders have strong reactions to this event, which you can read more about in our Alliance Leaders and Horde Council posts. This cinematic is viewed in-game during the Cause for Distraction quest. The Shadowlands pre-patch event started on November 10th, 2020.ĭark Abduction depicts Sylvanas' forces capturing Jaina, Thrall, Baine, and Anduin.
